Daniele Fiandaca shares three shiny nuggets of inspiration: pet food on Foursquare, brand consistency, and Twitter’s birthday.
Sometimes it is hard to see how FMCG brands can use emerging social technologies like Foursquare. However here is a brilliant example of a pet food brand using Foursquare to bring a poster to life and providing real time sampling. Simply brilliant.
I have been advocating the need for brands to move away from consistency of messaging to one of context for a while but not as eloquently as this piece on why brand consistency is killing digital advertising.
I have been a huge fan of Twitter for sometime now as I feel that it can add real value to people’s lives if used properly. I therefore loved the video they put out to celebrate their 5th year anniversary, even if I do not personally use it to follow celebrities.
